OVB boys axe...age guess?

I bought a Christmas present for myself, a very nice OVB boys axe with the original hexagon handle showing great patina and what seems to be an original edge sheath. I know OVB was Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co's brand until they sold in 1962 but I would like to zero in on a closer manufacturing date. The axe is in very good condition for its age and amazingly the head was not abused. It is a wall-hanger for me as the handle had a slight crack in it that i repaired with glue. Since it is the original OVB handle I could not bear to re-hang it. And yes, the edge angle could use some attention but I am not touching that either right now.
