Hello I just received an old embossed our very best double bit head and was curious if anyone here knows how to put a date or estimate a date of manufacture on this guy? Or maybe lead me in the right direction to figure this out?

It's difficult to say man, even had you posted photos or any pertinent details.
The vast majority were made by Plumb.
To my knowledge unless it is still on the original haft, there will be no way to know. Some axes you can date fairly specifically, others within a decade or so. But some are just impossible as there were no identifiable differences made to the design throughout the production span. OVB axes are in this category as far as I know.
Next time, try to post some photos using a 3rd party image hosting site. Like Flickr or Imgur. Best of luck man.
