OVB Fisk Bowie -- what size to get?

Does anyone prefer the OVB Fisk Bowie with the 7" blade to the 11.25" blade? The 7" blade seems a little too small, and the 11.25" seems a little too large. I would imagine 9-10" to be perfect, but this is just speculation...

Unfortunately, I don't have the opportunity to handle these or see them in person.

Anyway, what do you guys think? I did read a lot of good reviews for the large blade...

I've got the large Southwest Bowie - it's BIG and WIDE and LONG. It also happens to have a relatively thin 3/16" stock which means it's fast.

However, I personally prefer the feel of my Ontario Hell's Belle - it has more blade presence though the Fisk OVB is liekly to be a better slicer with the thin wide blade.

The Southwest Bowie handle is a little slick in my opinion...

It's a keeper in my collection (for now!) - but then I like big blades and anything under 10" these days is considered "small"!

I've got one of the smaller versions, with Amboyna burl handle, and I love it. I think the larger version would be even nicer, and want to pick one of those up as well.
