Anyone have info on how well the ovb fisk bowie cuts and slices with that .187 blade thickness?

Great cutting ability. It is a bit thick at the spine, but the blade itsels is pretty wide. So, when it reaches the cutting edge, it is thin. Thin enough to slice paper, thick enough to work hard.

That's my overall impression on the OVB. I'd rate it at 5 out of 5 for camp chores.

thanks for the info, I was hoping it would be good for camp and outdoor chores, as well as being a good slicer, so many "outdoor" knives are too thick to slice well...
