Just looked on A.G. Russell's site and there seems to be an OVB#III. It's the same as the other two but with Bubinga wood handles. Limited run of 300 and he's got em all. According to the site this will be the last OVB of this style. What is Bubinga wood and any idea what the next OVB will be?

Dean,
Have one of them & it is really nice - Bubinga is an African hardwood I think - medium brown colored wood with nice wavy grain running length of handle - quality is as good or better on mine than first two - totally schweeeet! Scary sharp too! shaves newspaper easily. Really need to get off my b&tt & get some pictures up - been so busy haven't had chance to take any lately. Like you looking forward to #4 - glad it will be something new!

Camillus, You da' company!

…since I just ordered one on an “impulse purchase” (I have lousy self-control  ). I have both the Curly Maple and the Desert Ironwood varieties, so it seemed like a shame not to get a complete set. The other OVBs were extremely well-done, and I expect this run to be of similar quality. Besides, I just like saying Bubinga ;)

I’m also really curious as to what the next OVB offering will be…

none of you will be disappointed. these knives are just as sweet as the first two,if not better. i love the color and grain of the bubinga.gorgeous.

Dean,

I wanted to see a picture, but I can't seem to find the OVB anywhere on the A.G. Russell site. Perhaps you could point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Doug

Dean,

Thanks for the link. I recently changed my email address, and hadn't yet resubscribed to the list. Beautiful knife!
