In another post started by MONGO there is mention of OVB #1,OVB #2 and OVB #3.

It is my opinion that there is only one OVB #1 with variations.

I think that the original OVB Fisk bowie with the stabilized fiddleback maple handle should be called OVB #1-1,
the next one produced with curly maple should be called OVB #1-2 and the new to be released with desert ironwood should be called OVB #1-3.

Your thoughts or comments on this.

Good Collecting !

There is an Amber fiddleback 7" maple (curly maple)
A limited 7" edition for AGg Russell in Myrtle Burl
And an Ironwood 7".

Whatever is next is anyones guess??Will??

first one was fiddleback maple.
ag's will be tasmanian pink myrtle-not sure when it will hit.
ironwood version should be within a few months, iirc.

Talked with the folks at AG's today. They are going to have 300 of the OVB Fisk Bowies made just for them, and over 100 are already sold. Anyone collecting these knives had better hurry and order. I was told that an October delivery is anticipated.

Guys,
We plan on making many OVB knives through the years. Folks here on the forums have sarted calling them OVB-1, OVB-2, etc. This is NOT an offical designation.

The first knife built under the new Our Very Best brand was the Jerry Fisk Designed NATIONAL LIVING TREASURE series bowie, based on his custom Commanchero...with fiddleback maple handles[500 pcs]. We have since announced that we are going to build another run, of the same knife, with really nice Desert Ironwood handles[500 pcs]. AG RUSSELL knives has contracted with us to build them a run of the same knife with their own, exclusive, Tasmainium[sp] Myrtle Burl handles[300 pcs]. We may do others.....but there will be other knives in the future. We are NOT prepared to announce any others at this time, as we are still watching the sell through of the first knives. Everything looks good so far....

I would imagine that if he agrees to, that we will do more models with Jerry Fisk, but nothing is in stone yet. We will probally look at other makers also, but again, nothing is decided upon.

As always, I will do my best to let the folks here on the CAMILLUS forums know as early as I can.....but don't get carried away folks. You can bet, as an example, that we will not announce what we will build after the Desert Ironwood bowies, before we build and ship the "Ironwoods".

We have some kewl stuff coming....sit back and enjoy the ride:cool:
