OVB Pricing ?????

Can anyone tell me what the MSRP and the actual selling price of the The Fisk/OVB are at . I am getting very conflicting stories. I was told 265.00 for mine. Then I had a few people tell less than 200.00, even had one fella tell me he is getting them for 170.00 from his retailer. What is up with that???? When everybody can buy at wholesale pricing it affects all of us.

I don't know the MSRP but with regard to the actual price each person gets, I assume it depends upon how hard and early you shopped. I have a friend who has a very busy business that allows him little free time. He would gladly pay $265 for a quick purchase rather than spending an hour or more searching for the best deal. Others have more time and derive a lot of satisfaction from hunting down the best bargain.

Discount pricing on the internet certainly has both benefits and drawbacks. If the B & M cutlery stores fold under the competitive pressure, there will be few places to go and handle knives. On the other hand, if a person knows what he or she wants without handling it, internet prices will allow him/her to buy more knives for the same bucks.

MSRP on the FISK/OVB Bowie is $279.95. As always, there is varying amounts of discounting going on....usually the guys with the really low-ball prices don't have knives in stock, but they are working off wholesale distributors' invetories, or just running lost leader ads, that in this case, they won't be able to deliver on, because there are so few knives out there[only 500].
