hey camillus fans: just wanted to share a slight wrinkle in my OVB sheath. The felt pad behind the stud came loose the first time I sheathed the knife. Today, we put a new piece of felt ( circle shaped with adhesive backing ) inside the sheath. Seems to work fine. Good luck. Everything else is cool, but I am still afraid that the knife will slide thru the frog and end up in a river or on the side of a mountain somewhere...rdogout

Cringing at that thought ;)

That felt pad is just there to prevent the blade from being scratched by the frog stud.

I am going to have Kenny Rowe make me a sheath. Same setup, better construction. The OVB is functional, but not perfect IMHO.

Anthony, a favor please... I have been pondering the same thing about a sheath by Mr. Rowe. Can you share the specifics (price, time frame, etc.) if/when you find them out? Thanks in advance, Mongo

yeah, I like the Kenny Rowe sheaths that were in the June 2002 Blade Mag. Trend Cutters column by Joe Kertzman. Wonder if you could clip a sheath on with this Bowie...Hopefully Kenny will have a couple of ideas about a Bowie knife sheath. Anyone have his email addy or website link? thanks again, rdogout
