Ovens? What options are there?

Okay, I already have Camp and Oven Dutch Ovens and am dialed in on using them. There are times however when I need something more on the lines of a camp type oven or reflector oven for larger volume and more precise baking when I have larger groups. So what are you using either on top of a Camp Chef stove top, or as a reflector oven near a fire?

I have a Bemco aluminum oven. I added legs to it to raise it high enough to use with my Emberlit. It also works with a gas cannister stove but you have to be careful about heating the cannister. It was made with coal heat in mind. It has a door, shelves and a true thermometer for temperature control. And it folds reasonably flat for storage and transport.

It takes a bit of tinkering to get the temp exactly right using the Emberlit. My first time I put the oven on too soon and overheated it to about 700 degrees. But then got it back down to 400 in a few minutes and kept it there to bake corn on the cob, baked potato, cornbread and pizza. It was easier to control the temp with the gas stove.

in the early 60s we used cracker tins that the army rations would come in
place it over a trench fire and cover it in mud for insulation

made very good bread

Coleman Ovens are a little heavy but aren't bad, I've baked bread in them quite a few times over the years.

+1 on the coleman ovens, first used it over 25 years ago and still use em.

When I was in the scouts we had a reflector type oven with shelves in it. Make a fire, let it burn down to hot coals, then stick the reflector next to the fire and wrap tin foil around the fire to enclose it . IIRC there used to be plans for it in the old handbook, sure they are online somewhere.

Something like this:

Coleman oven, over a Coleman stove or a campfire, does a fine job, as several posters have mentioned.
