And this includes either of the three variations of the 275.
I've actually been carrying this knife for the past 1 1/2 + months, a record for me. But it rides so well in my pocket that I just don't see replacing it atm. I have some other edc's that are getting a lot of rest on account of the Adamas, but for now that's ok.
Things I've found out about the 275;
-- smooth opening with the Axis, and this is not my first Axis, but is my first with a heavy blade like this. The heavy blade makes the knife open and lock with only a small amount of push.
-- lockup came tight and has remained so. I haven't used this knife hard, but it has had a lot of flicking and everything has remained as tight as it was when it arrived.
-- blade centering has remained centered. And another thing is that with the pivot screw completely removed, the blade remains tight and centered when closed. You can open and cut with it, close it and the blade is perfectly centered, all without the pivot screw in the pivot. I'm thinking that shows pretty good engineering in the building of this knife.
-- blade edge has remained sharp, but as I said above, I haven't really used it hard. Cut up some cardboard just to see how well it cut and to see if it would keep the hair-popping edge it came with. It did. I still hit it about ten licks per side on my Sharpmaker white stones two times a week, just to satisfy my ocd.
There are a couple of things I would do to make it more pleasing to the eye, at least my eye. A satin or stonewash blade would be nice, and I would like some grips that do not have the three holes in them. I also wouldn't mind a Ranger Green color for the grips.
But overall this knife has really pleased me and I think it is one of the great buy's for 2012. Though I still can't wait until the 810 Contego shows up!
How about it, anf 275 Adamas buyers/carriers out there that have some opinions on it now that it has been out for 3+ months??
