Hello.
I didn't know how effective it would be to look up in the archives, so I thought I'd just throw it out there as another question. If anybody knows of another place to find this info, please let me know. Thanks.

I was thinking about what I really wanted in a multi-tool. I was wondering if such a one exists like I want. I don't even have that many specifications.
But here they are:
flip-out pliers like on gerber
one hand opening knives like on lm wave
pocket clip like lm sideclip
all locking tools with easy release mechanism
durability and heaviosity (just made up that word) of the swisstool

any suggesstions?

This is probably not what you're looking for, but the multi-tool that seems closest to your specs is the Spyderco Spyderench.

It's pliers don't flip out, but then they don't have to since they're ready for use to start with.

Except for the "flips out" part, the new Leatherman Charge Ti and 2004 Wave seem to fit your requirements nicely. You have to purchase the clip separately for the Wave. BTW, although it isn't advertised as a flipable plier, I can "flip" my original Wave open, it just takes more force than with the Gerber or SOG Powerlock.

Of course, you could argue that the ChargeTi and Wave still lack the "heaviosity" of the SwissTool, but IMHO the feature list makes up for it, and the durability of the new pliers has been boosted by quite a bit.
