Several weeks ago, meako sent me the prize for his limerick contest, this beautiful Schrade 50OTG, but I never got to thank him properly.

I was a bit distracted because my wife and I had just adopted a beautiful little girl, and chaos was reigning in our home! I still found time to put the knife to good use, trimming splinters off of various surfaces, cutting some flowers for the wife, slicing an apple or two. It's developed a beautiful patina (helped along a bit with one quick vinegar wipe, which was probably unnecessary), and takes a keen edge. It's really become one of my favorites, and my first USA-made knife that I'm willing to use (I have my grandpa's old Camillus barlow, but it has no snap left, so it's rather unsafe).
Thanks again, meako!
