I never use the coin/watch pocket on blue jeans. One day last week out of the blue, I stuck a 112 in there. It rode fine and touched the bottom of my belt. So the next day, I decided to try it with a 110 and have done so for a week without a single drop or issue. It rides touching the top of my belt and is actually just as easy or maybe easier to get to than a knife with a pocket clip(depending on how tight the knife clips). I'm 99% of the time wearing blue jeans and an untucked tshirt so it goes completely unnoticed. It freed up a whole front pocket, eliminated the need for a sheath, and gave me easier access than if it was floating around in my pocket with change and keys.

When I wear jeans I keep a knife in that pocket all the time. I even have special pockets sewn into my dress pants just for knives so they are not mix with the rest of the stuff I have in my pocket.

I'm gonna try it tonight! Does the knife push up when you sit down?

It does, but just to the top of my belt which isn't noticeable if your shirt is untucked. A 112 rides a good half inch to an inch lower.

I use that pocket for my 309, but never thought about anything larger. Thanks for the suggestion.

Well, now that you mention it, I was thinking that if my 110 can ride in my coin pocket, then that means that I have a free pocket and now I can get a small 300 series to ride in my free pocket!

I carry my Duke in that pocket as well. It rides down to about a 1/4" protruding. Just enough to get 2 fingers on it. Nobody knows I'm packing. DM

I did that with my 112 just yesterday, my brain felt like it was going to fall out but it didn't.
I might try a pocket sheath for more secure fit.

Special pockets in dress pants, awesome very Bond, James Bond

You know, how you carry your Buck has been a popular topic over the years and lots of people have shown or described how they carry theirs. This was expecially so before clips got going strong. Now a lot of new models are clip models, and the only issue I have with them is they will eventually wear a hole in jeans pockets. When I worked I had to wear a uniform, for years it was brown jeans, and I carried a 303 in the watch pocket and a multi-tool on the belt. Then we changed to rip-stop cargo pants and I fixed a sheath on leather belt loop hanger that went down in the front pocket along the pant seam. I don't personally think I would care for a big folder sticking up out of my watch pocket. Now I wear more non-watch pocket pants but also carry a small vantage a lot. I go back to the hanging sheath if I carry a small folding 300.

G, I think Doc may be talking about this. I have some regular day pants fixed this way and have been carrying a 444 in the James Bond pocket. I have a wife who is out on strike for sewing, so I either do it myself or just use little brass safety pins in three spots. They seen to wash well and do the job. Put the little safety pins between the pocket and pant leg, not your leg side. 300Bucks
