Hi guys. Was hoping for some advice.I ordered 2 ratwilers and a howling rat recently. But just found out the folks at swamp rat dont take credit card orders from abroad (I live in Scotland). Do any of you know if there is any way round this. Have already ordered a custom sheath for one of the ratweilers, and really want the knives. Any help or advice you folks could give would be very much appreciated.

i am pretty sure they take money orders.
you can still get your rats but just not with cerdit cards.

They don't bill till they ship. Since there'd be no guarantee of payment without a CC (no reflection on you, just a fact of business), you might have to pay up front.

I'm just guessing here... As stated, Eric would be the man to contact.

Thanks for the input fellas. Paying up front will not be a problem. Have E mailed Eric. Just awaiting a reply. Hopefully he will be able to tell me the best way to do this. Once again guys thanks for the help.

Hi eros69. if you check the thread Eric has at the top of this forum a message to our European customers or something like that.He advises you to contact their German contact Dirk linnermyer.Dirk will send you his international bank details and you go to your bank with the info and id and ask them to transfer the money it will cost you a £10 charge for economy service 3-5 working days.I can vouch for this 100% as i got a battle rat from dirk about two weeks ago, i live in Scotland as well. Dirk was a pleasure to deal with very helpful. If you need any other questions answered let me know.

As far as I can see the only problem for me by ordering from Germany are the prices. For example: A ratweiler ordered from the german site: 235 Euros = 292,46 US $ (todays value)

Ordering the same ratweiler from www.swampratknifeworks.com costs 178,95 US $

For me, living in Norway, i would belive that ordering from the US would be way cheaper. I ordered my Camp Tramp from the US a long time ago, and the shipping costs were no way near 100 US $.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here.

Lars

i know this is in the wrong forum but it relevent to the thread (i think).

i ordered a busse with a credid card (im from england). do busse also not accept credit cards from abroad?

although they did send an e-mail the same day that had an order number on it, but im not sure if this is confirmation of being charged or not...

Hi guys. Eric Isaacson sent me an E Mail regarding my knife order. He said the order wont be a problem if I send the money in the form of an international money order. Swamp Rat U.S.A will accept these. Only problem being the money will be cashed before shipping, which does not bother me at all. Am currently waiting for my bank to post me the order so I can send it on.

With regard to buying from Germany. I looked in to it, after I had the credit card problem, and whilst awaiting Mr Isaacson's reply. Provided you are trusting enough to stump up the cash in advance (and swamp rat seem pretty reputable) All things considered (shipping and customs duty) it's still much cheaper for me to buy knives from the swamp in U.S.A (in my opinion).

PS Thanks for getting back to me with a solution to this Eric it really was very much appreciated. You are a gentleman.
