This has been in the making for quite a while...

It all started when Owen Bush(UK) asked me if I was interested to do a collaboration with him useing a damascus sword he had made.
Guess if I hesitated long to answer him....

The blade was, of course, forged by Owen from a piece of damascus made by Don Fogg himself!

The handle is made with yewburl, mammoth tooth, oxidized copper and pewter.
The copper pommel is threaded on tightly to keep everything in place.
Cutting 20mm copper with a hacksaw is not something I will do again anytime soon!

The sheath/scabbard is, by far, the most labour intensive so far!
I have never drilled som many holes or put that many stitches into anything so far!
Doubble aluminium welts with leather in between.
"Belt loop" with a pivot and yewburl spacer.
"Sheild" made with yewburl and copper, bottom endpiece is also copper.

The overall length of this piece is 770mm with a 550mm blade.

Any and all comments are as usual more than welcome!

You guys ought to be proud of yourselves!

...oh, sorry, I forgot to mention the sheath- it's outstanding:thumbup: Very practical and smart design! My fingers hurt looking at all those stitches.

Thank you very much! You are too kind!

The weight of the sword is 1115grams(2.45lbs), with scabbard 1505grams(3.32lbs).
Thanks again, very appreciated!

I will agree with Lorien in that's one of the nicest swords I have seen.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Considering the unique blade profile, I would love to handle and get the feel of it.
The sheath is an outstanding match to the sword, but then that's representative of all your pieces.

Absolutely crazy about that damascus pattern. Would like to have it on a fighter.

Congratulations on a successful project for all involved.

That is a masterpiece. Perfect to the eye. Congratulations to the creators of this spectacular collaboration!:thumbup:

Magnus, as usual you have created something above and beyond. Wonderful looking piece and one that would be fun to play with I'm sure.

That is the finest piece of craftsmanship I have ever seen. What would something like this cost? In dollars please. ;)

However, I have the feeling that if I have to ask the price, I probably can't afford it. LOL! :p;)
