We went to visit my wifes Grandfather today & when we walked across the bridge that crosses a small creek I noticed this small pile of bones & fur....Looks like Mr. Owl had dinner on the tree limb over the bridge :D

This is something I've only came across outdoors about 3~4 times & I've been roaming the woods for the last 25+yrs !

Nice! I've seen it several times but always enjoy it. With the bleached lookin' bones, I think that's scat remnants though. Best I've seen was a red tailed hawk shuck a pigeon outside my office one day. Pigeon cried like a baby before it was gone!

I love breaking the Pellets up and seeing just what the birds have been eating, I found this tiny rodent skull last year~

Not to be a kill joy, just be careful when playing with predator pellets as I understand that they can be full of some of the nastier parasites. Stay safe!

I have a family of barn owls that live in my eaves... My roof and front yard are covered with pellets. I think it freaks people out when they see all of the rodent skulls in the front yard. :)

Cools findings there!

Never seen an owl's pellet in person although I hear their voice every night.
Qute envious about what Scheppmann tells. They really are cats with wings.

This one comes from an egret
