If I already own a Becker BK-7 for use around the house and camping. I like the design and the line. Which second Becker knife would be a better complement: a 5.5" BK-10 or a 9" BK-9?

I don't own another big knife but I do have a few 4" Moras.

Thanks,
Michael

Totally depends on what you'll do with it. The Crewman is a nice stout knife for camp chores, and the BK-9 is a better chopper. Much better than the BK-7 IMO.

I think you'd like the extra heft and capability of a BK-9. That's my two cents.

Totally true! But if you have a BK10, BK7 and BK9 the best carry-choice is the more all-round-ness or the 7. Best total package IMO, a good chopper and easy handling for smaller work.

If you have a BK10 buy a BK9, if you have a BK9 buy a BK10 but if you have a BK7 a BK9 or BK10 are just a luxury…..Although it are good user-friendly knifes and will fit the job perfect!

Mdarby,

If you want a chopper: get the BK9 (or BK1 Brute). Or carry a Mora next to your BK7 instead of getting the BK10.
