I have included an Owner card with each knife I've sold or given away. The card was a simple two-sided post card that I would just print off on my computer. The card had blank spots for me to fill in the blade steel, handle material, date completed, and Rc. The card also had a little bit of info about my process, knife care and warranty. It also of course had my contact info.

I'm now looking at having some printed professionally, and I'm looking for tips on other info that I should include on the cards. Can anyone give me some ideas?

Use heavy stock not regular paper. At least 32 pound bond or go for te giold and use 65pound card stock..
Use a bold and readable type face. Forget fancy and "cute" fonts.
Put what is needed on the card, and leave off what doesn't matter. Contact info; knife specs; very basic warranty; short personal blurb.
Print a more detailed "Knife Care" sheet on 24 pound bond paper, or use 32pound bond resume' paper. Use any color but white, with the card and sheet matching.( I like the ivory colored paper). On this explain how to care for, sharpen, use, store, etc. the knife. Give full warranty info including how to return it for service/warranty.
Put both in an envelope with your name and basic contact info on the front ( phone, email, website). A large print of your logo is nice here, too. Again, use a professional weight envelope in any color but white (Best if it matches the card and sheet).
Also, insert one of your business cards in the envelope. That will give the owner something for his wallet or to pass on to a friend.

Sure, this will end up running a couple bucks each set, but it will make your knives stand out as a class act......money well spent in my book.
