Well, as I stated in a previous post, I hit the "buy it now" button and today I received my new BK15 with 2 sets of scales and sheath. Strange that I ordered the BK11, then 2 days later ordered the 15. Still waiting on that 11. So far it's great, has a good weight and is a good size for field dressing, camp cooking or even kitchen work. I really like the sheath and the scales have good ergonomics. The only thing I am a curious about is the finish on the blade. I'm not so sure of how clean the cut will be with veggies and such. The finish reminds me of my truck bed liner....may need to remove it in the future. Overall I think I will love this blade as much as, if not more than, my BK2. I am interested in possibly combining the sheaths of both knives in order to carry them together. If and when that happens I will post. I will add some pics later, strange how this feature works.

If you're using it strictly for food prep, I'd suggest stripping it.

Personally when I get done with food prep, I take a green brillo pad and LIGHTLY wipe it down under running water, then using a sponge with soap. That is just me though.

Thanks for your advice! It will be used mostly for food prep, but I'm sure I'll find other uses too! Skinning animals, filleting fish, dicing and slicing veggies

Congrats on getting the 15, I love mine. It's my go to knife in the kitchen. I even used it to process my deer earlier this month.

Did you pick that up from Tomars?

I'm quite fond of mine. I like my other tweeners too. I'm planning on soon picking up a FFG 16.

I plan on using it to process my next deer, if I can ever get out in the right time

I actually got from Knifestore on eBay! Just under $64

I think the 16 may be my next fix! Idk though the BK3 would be very useful in the day to day job routine

I am very curious as to how they are, I have a bk16 and 17 and they are great but the bk15 looks great and I am considering getting one for food prep as well,

Depends on what your job is. I keep mine in my car. It has come in handy a couple of times. However I use my 5 a LOT more often.

I actually have two jobs, Main job: Asset Protection Officer, Side job: Bond Recovery Agent (aka Bounty Hunter). Side job is where the BK3 would be very useful

If you need to pop a door off the hinges, or remove a wall from the foundation, it definitely is the knife for you!
