I've always wanted the Hest 2.0 but never seemed to pull the trigger. Now that this new triple black version has came out I'm really craving me a Hest. First I want to know how it is compared to the regular 2.0 fit and finish wise? How do the serrations function and do you like the fact that the blade is longer? Also I noticed they chose to use a new steel, is it any better than the previous? If anyone could answer these questions I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!

I'm interested in seeing reviews as well. I'm pretty sure though that the blade is not any longer. It's still just a H.E.S.T. version 2.0. And, if you look at the actual cutting length, it's the same as the regular 2.0. I think the overall blade length is a typo.

Same size as the regular one. It's a beast - a true small "huge" knife. The serrations work great and the knife is so light. Very cool. Niolox steel as I read in another post has toughness like A2, Stainless like D2, better edge holding and easier to sharpen. Cheers.

i use the HEST 2 when i need a 3.5" class folder (which is often). it gets pried with often and it can take it. i got the T3 because of the serrations, which makes it an even more efficient cutter in the field. i'll let other discuss the merits of one steel over the other, all i care about is its use. i do like the DPx line of products.

seems like the accessory tool gets more attention than the folder; again i'll let others talk about that. it's just an adjustment tool to me, nothing more.
