I love these things, but I wonder if other owners share my enthusiasm.

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the knife?

What do you like/dislike about it?

For me, this is my favorite design. Simple, strong with a good utility blade shape and very good blade steel. Easy one hand operation. I EDC the mini and find it a good pocket knife. The tang does not make the knife feel longer, and I've had no accidental openings while carrying it. On both my knives, I've replaced the stop pin with a larger diameter pin to keep the blade from toughing the rear screw when closed. It's a minor pain, but worthwhile. Grade: 9/10

6/10

If you need to modify it to keep it from hitting the rear screw, it should have been designed differently in the first place. Mine has the same problem. And the handle to blade ratio is ridiculous, I have the wood handled "regular" size. It does not open or close smoothly due to warping in the handles (beyond what can and should be adjusted out), from the factory. It's just too cheap to consider sending back.

That said, I've relegated my Svord to the kitchen, and it's performed pretty well as a general cooking knife. The L6 takes a decent edge with minimal effort, and the knife gets a lovely patina with use. I don't think I would buy another (although I'm looking at friction folders from other makers) but I'm glad I tried svord out.

My scales weren't even the same dimensions as one another. Didn't have a problem though with hitting the screw. 5/10

Nice steel for the money.

I just read in another thread that you've got to mod them at least a bit, then they shine. I agree. They are great knives if you like to tinker.

Once fixed up a bit, they make great belt pouch knives for work. I don't carry a belt pouch as much as I used to so I don't carry my svords as much as I used to. You've made me want to carry one again.

Haven't carried mine much and I would agree with SBK... which reminds me... I want a Mora folder or three... I wish they made them.
