So the fiancee wants oxtails tomorrow so I go to the store and they are cut way too thin. I ask Mr. Butcher if I could get a 3 lb. tail..... I'll cut it at home thank you.
So, I get home and score it as I like... extra thick. One of the cuts sliced right through.. the other six or so not so well.
I am the retard... no mistake about it. I didn't find the joint to slice through because I wanted a certain size.
Took out my Seal 2000 and chop! Then a few hard whacks with a hammer. Did that twice...... not so smart. Made it through but the hammer chipped really tiny flakes off the spine... I really thought AUS 6 was way too soft to chip.
Ended up spending an hour trying to find my hacksaw........ then it was no problem. But not before taking my dremmel to it...
A few golden monkeys and I'm good.
