Oxidation on my SOG Mini X-Ray Vision

I know that oxidation will occur on the blade because there is a certain amount of carbon in the ATS-34 steel but im just curious if it will get really bad or is there anyway to stop the oxidation from occuring. Thank you.
 
I assume it is the bead blasted finish?
If you live (or the knife does) in a humid environment (or is left wet) surface oxidization will occur. A coat of oil should help...
