I have had a request for some oyster knives. That's the salt water version of oysters that come from a shell and not the parts of an amimal that cross the fence last for you mountain boys. Sorry, couldn't help that. I've eaten both.... I have seen several but I am looking for one with an integrated guard. If anyone has a pic and willing to share I would appreciate it.
Take care
Robert

Sorry everybody for posting those first three pictures. After posting them I realized that they were not custom knives and didn't belong on this forum. Gus or Blues, if you think they should be removed, feel free to do so.

Thanks for the ideas, doesn't have to be one of custom design, just looking for something to start with.
thank you and take care
robert;)

This is generally what we make here in South Carolina

Yes, beautiful Bobby! I just had to look into this thread cause I love those oysters!

Notice that none of them is really SHARP. Thin at the edge and point, but not sharp like a real knife. Very good that way as it is quite easy to slip and stab yourself in the fleshy part of your palm. I've opened a lot of oysters, and that still happens to me... I'm glad the oyster knives aren't razor sharp!

Matthew, I actually leave a small area near the tip sharp because some people use it to reach down in the Oyster to cut it loose.
