Oyster knife, what steel to use

Does anyone have a suggestion on what kind of steel should be used in an oyster knife?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

A oyster knife doesn't have a keen edge, should withstand salt water and prying.

IMHO a soft stainless steel like 440A would giveve the best results.
