I tought you folks might enjoy this. A lot of tactical stuff flows out of the shop, but every now and then a shiney piece originates there as well. A friend / customer / ex-coworker has an annual oyster shuck, and wanted something a little special to celebrate the event. Ats34 with a nice hand rub finish along with a real sweet piece of stabilzied burl completed the effort. The lanyard ring was made from the same slab of handle material.

Enjoy,

David,

We've got some of the biggest and tastiest eatin' oysters up here in Quilcene, Washington. And I've gone through shuckin' and eatin' many of them in my life time. I have never seen nor used such a gorgeous oyster knife...! Just beautiful...! You may have to hook me up with one of those beauties in the near future...!

Ok, that thing is gorgeous but I've got no idea what the hell ya do with it! :) This from someone who has never eaten an oyster in his life, lol :)

Mr. Nemesis,

You need one of these if you ever plan on being around oyster's. They are know for having one nasty diposition, and if encountered outside of their shell santuary, it requires the use of a very specialized cutting tool as shown in this thread, in order to incapacitate and control them:)

Okay, not really. It's only used to pry open the shell halves and feast.

LOL

Great looking knife, David. Now you need to make a bottle opener to go with it! :)

I second the bottle opener David...lol :) Great looking shucker! The burl is really nice stuff!
