I just received my custom 110 hunter with a BG-42 blade and nickel bolster. I like the knife very much, but I noticed that there is some play in the blade. When it is closed the blade wobbles about 1/32" and when it is fully open and lock disengaged it wobbles just a little less than 1/32". Is this a normal amount of play? Can it be tightened?

Hey Bobb,
On the 110 you may have very slight blade play when the lock is not engaged, but when the blade is locked there should be none. Buck will take care of the problem for you. Give them a call. There service is A-1. Hope this helps.

Alex

BTW, welcome to the forums :)

Alex,
Thanks, I called Buck and they were very helpful. I am sending it back today. The only problem is that I hate to part with it. In just a few days it has become my EDC. My first knife was a Buck Woodsman 25 years ago, which I still own. I have been carrying a lot of different tactical folders. I have come back to Buck.

Bob, knowing Buck's Customer Service, it will back in your hands, and on your belt, before you really have a chance to miss it.....;)

Glad to have you back.. FYI.. Nickel Silver is more prone to looseness as you described. Although it shouldn't have gone to you like that.. PCKS has the itme to make it perfect..
