I love this maker's work, although I don't have anything of his yet.

You guys that have pics of P. J.'s knives, how about posting some?:)

I think the custom forum might be a better place for this. Anyway, I don't have any pictures but I recently got a straight hunter from him like the one at Knifeart only with a different handle material. The thing is awesome and a terrific bargain.

I thought it might get seen by more people here. If this is the wrong place, some moderator please move it.

All I have by Mr. Tomes is a lightsaber sharp paring knife I got for a song at a show in NYC. Super nice guy & the knife gets used almost daily. It slices onions so thin you can almost read a newspaper through the slices. The "ex" wouldn't touch it. "Too sharp" she said. If you get the chance to handle a Scagel-style bowie by Tomes, you won't forget it.

I am glad you started a thread about PJ Tomes because I have admired his work and wondered why his fixed blades sell for relatively less than those of other master smiths. Any insights would be appreciated.

A Scagel repro is the only pic I've saved... and it's a damned fine repro at that:
