I just bought a P. J. Tomes locking folder (Model 1-B) with some stunning Sambar Stag scales. Should be on a UPS truck heading my way from Arkansas to Oklahoma tommow.

Does anybody own a Tomes knife or knives that they could post a few pictures of to tide me over 'till mine gets here?

Pictures of any Tomes knives would be greatly appreciated.

I have the one above.

PJ Tomes website for more photos

PJ makes some stunning knives, I am lucky to own a few. PJ will be at the Solvang show at the end of the month.

Daniel,

That double lock is a beauty. He does such a good job on his choice of stag to go on his knives I don't know why anyone would even want one with Jigged bone.

Marlin39d,Look at the jig bone on Ebbtide's Trapper,The reason why guys like the jig bone,is that P.J. Tomes jigged bone is Really Fantastic!

Yes P J does superb jigged bome I have a shadow pattern folder & it's great.

Funny you mention how great PJ's jigbone is (and it is) but I was going to mention how well he handles stag.
Look at the folders above in Thomason & Daniel's photos.
No rounded polished ends or sides. All 'bark' and texture.
Just like the old days.
He prolly gets fewer handles out of a piece of stag, but they sure look great.
I think that is too cool.

I have a Remington Bullet knife by P.J. Tomes that Rob Thomason recently sold me. It's really a well-built knife with great bark stag that goes all the way to the edges.

I also have a stag model 1-B from Rob that I carry. Both have the 52100 forged blades.

Of course, now I want one with jigged bone, or that double lock in stag.

Yes I agree both superb. I love stag & bone 2 faviourite handle material. Although I think pricing is a legitmate concern espically if you have currency conversion & still want a user:D

Mike- mine is 52100 blade great steel.

That is a great looking knife. I like pretty well every PJ Tomes knife I have seen.

I went to check out his website and was shocked at the upcharge for stag. I know the stuff is expensive, but wow!
