Well, Paul's sheaths with that beautiful look of the deerskin lining and the fold over at the top got me to experiment. This is my first like this and I learned a couple things. I'm liking the look and the soft lining really adds a different feel to sheathing the knife. It doesn't need to be so formed or so tight as it nicely grabs the handle.
Gonna have to get a sewing machine though if I wanna keep this up. :p

If anyone has suggestions on how to handle the transition from the welt to sides at the mouth, I'd appreciate it . I think it's the weakest feature, design wise of this one. I contemplated a fold over but I really wanted the full round of stitching as the owner didn't want any tooling.

Stuart, that is nice....very nice. The welt , mouth transition is what it is. There is no better way I know of. That rolled lining can also be put into a pouch sheath easily. I can tutor you on that off line. Contact info below.

Thanks!! That handle mod was done by a fellow forumite up here in a Canadian forum.
He has taken to redoing the handles on Fallknivens and I am lucky enough to get to make the sheaths for them. I am expecting an S1 any day now.
