Were they offered, polished or bead blasted? Was there a different time frame for the different blade finishes or was it always optional?

I tried the search function, and couldn't find an answer. But I was 99% sure I have seen some "p" marked sebenzas with blasted blades and read it was original. Anyone help me out?

GREAT QUESTON doublegun!! from my experience (which is very limited) I am pretty sure that all of the early "P" Sebenzas were only offered in the polished version ATS-34 blades. But I am sure that one of our more knowledgeable friends will jump in here and give us the real scoop! Come on Tom help us out!! Inquiring minds want to know!! (and me too!!)

At some point late in the original design run but just prior to the New design or "Regular" issue in 1996, CRK started trying new blade finishes. For example I've seen one Original style with a bead blasted blade finish, another with reverse finish (tumbled hallows and satin flats) - both I believe are owed by members here. Sometime during the first year of the Regular model run is when CRK settled on the two variations of blade finish that you still see today.

Here's a couple of P's with the BB finish on the blades. Chris's wife Annie sent me an email explaining how Chris was experimenting with the different finishes on the blades but in the end he decided against the BB finish because of rust issues.

Holly shit!! (sorry) I had no idea that they ever made a bead blasted finish!! Thanks Dino!! All I needed was another Grail to chase!! :D

I can't remember if it was Dino, but someone had a pic of like three different blade sheens/finishes.

With what looks to me like matching blasted screws as well, sure is a fine looking Sebenza.
Thanks for sharing those Dino, I have never seen one like that before.

Seems that at least half of the time I see a pic of a CRK on the forum and think to my self I would really like to have that one, I look up to see who posted it, and, it's Dino !

I sure would love to see a pic of your whole collection some day Sir.

WOW! These are some fantastic looking comparisons. Its one thing to hear about the differences, its anther to see them. This is like a virtual museum. :)

Thanks for sharing Dino!
