"P" Sebenza on ebay

That's a pretty good deal, I guess I should have
followed the auction a little closer.

Smooth Bone, BTW, remember that large sebenza I bought off you a year or two ago? I sent it back in for a refurb and a blade repolish. Yeow, it's nice! :D (Of course it was nice before too .)

A pretty good deal alright! But think about shipping cost plus import duty (20%) plus VAT (7%). Total would change from "pretty good deal" to "not-so-bad deal".

Can you guy shed me somelight on those "P" sebenza? Between the "P" with number and the one without? Which was first and the rarity?

Take care,
TRUCKER

I think it goes like this from oldest to newest:

H ( Handmade)
P ( Early Production, With number )
No P - regular production

Thanks DaveH.

Got in my hand now two sebenza. One from a dealer with only "P" written on it. Another with "P213" from you know where.

Just curious, which came first? Plain P or P with number. And how high the number went.

Take care,
TRUCKER

Trucker, Dave is right on, the P with a number came first, then P without a number, then they dropped the P before the change to the new style. Your 213 is the highest numbered P I have seen, could you tell us the birth date if you have the paperwork?

Hi James,

Paper work....birth cert....don't have any. Do you think Chris will reissue them for both if I send them back for refinish? So I guess the exact number for any "P" still need to be discovered.

Take care,
TRUCKER

Talk about a small world. I am almost positive that I owned that P213 for a short period also. :)

I should have kept that one.

... but at least I'm used to it.

So:
When (and how) did all this begin?
I mean: when was the first Sebenza born?

If someone has time answering to me, I'd be pleased

Thanks in advance!

Sorry - wasn't ignoring your post.

As I remember, that's the only Sebenza I've ever seen with the name on the clip. I've still got a picture of it.

Pretty cool. I bet it's really nice after the refurb! Glad you're still enjoying it.

Sebenza History

 ...such a small world after all.

Danbo, sooner or later I gotta let it go also. No one can really own anything forever. Oh BTW did the P213 come with any paper?
