CRK experts, I've had a numbered P Sebenza for quite some time. Not at a point where I'm ready to sell, but I am curious to know anything relevant about this one. It's a large, P-116. One of my questions is, any reason a numbered P can't have a pocket clip? I read something that the P models didn't have clips, but this one obviously does. Any clues that make anyone think this is anything other than what it appears to be? Does it have the correct blade, etc? I thought I had a box with it, but a cursory search in my treasure closet yielded a 14 year (1984-1998) CRK box as the oldest one I can find, with a November 27, 1998, BG-42 card. Not sure if they're related. Might have another box of knife boxes somewhere, but I'll have to do some digging. Thanks in advance for any input.P 116 front.jpgP 116 close.jpgP 116 back.jpg

Tip down carry? That is an odd one! I don't know enough about the history on these to verify authenticity going this far back.

Nice. Never seen a clip positioned that way on any sebenza version. Mind showing a better picture/angle of the thumb stud, as well as one of the lock side with the clip removed?

Thumb stud, slightly different distances. Even with the newest iPhone my photography skills are virtually non-existent.P 116 thumb.jpgP 116 thumb close.jpg.

Sorry, couldn't resist. The annuals were in the case with the P. Here are two shots of the lock side with the clip removed. Please let me know if it tells you anythingP 116 lock side.jpgP 116 clip close.jpg, and thanks!

I’ll add you to the list! Appreciate the comments.

If anyone has any insight on P116 (or the Ps in general w/respect to clip, etc), please let me know. Otherwise, I’m going to assume it is what it is and it’ll be back in the vault til next time.

I wonder if you would get more information if you posted again on the this thread, just a thought. I’d like to know more as well.

I agree about sending the photo of the clip removed to CRK. Since that is a later style thumb stud, the clip could have been added by request at that time?
