VERY cool! Such generosity!I'd like to acknowledge and thank the wonderful people who gather together on this thing we affectionately call "The Porch". What a community, one like no other! Made possible by electronics it is a throw back to a different time. A time when people from diverse backgrounds could respectfully gather together and share in their common interest.
And share we do. Some are experts sharing from their vast knowledge and expertise. Others are supportive type folks who give of themselves even during difficult times. Some enjoy generously sharing from their collections and establishing lasting bonds. Some take beautiful photos that brighten our days. All are contributors that make the porch a wonderful place to hang while enjoying the camaraderie of like minded individuals. Thanks to you all this place exist.
There are a few here who exemplify all of those characteristics and reveal themselves as very special people... Paul Hillborn is one of those. A friend to us all Paul is a caring generous individual who gives from what he has asking nothing in return.
This past week I was favored to experience some of Paul's generosity. Paul had heard that my wife had confiscated my Leatherman Micra for her own use and contacted me asking if he could send a replacement. When the package arrived it contained not only a nice Micra but also a sweet Chestnut Bone Case Sodbuster Jr. I don't know how he knew that I've wanted a Sodbuster for years and Chestnut Bone would be my first choice. Not only that but this particular Sodbuster has received the "Hillborn Improvment Mod" giving it a very sharp and useful point while making it even more special to me.
Thank you Paul, I will try to pay it forward, -James

Sorry for your difficulties this week tdm. We just don't know how important we are to others until we read stories like this. Thanks for sharing. The proch is great! I have seen and recierec the generosity first hand!!!
This place has helped me through a rough patch by just looking around at the generosity! I have kind of lost myself in some threads lately just looking at the great pictures as well!
This past week, close family friends' 17 year old daughter had died in a tragic car accident. Then my grandmother suffered a bad fall and broke her hip. She was not supposed to make it though the surgery. But she fought on and did!
It was just a stressful and crazy week. But coming here has definitely been a break from the norm. I'd just like to thank you all for the kindness and hospitality!!!
