p38 as a fish gutter

My girlfriend said her Dad would use a p38 as a fish gutter.
I tried it today & yep it works.
Plus all I got to do to clean it is boil it for a few seconds.

I’m not ashamed to say I have used a knife as a can opener on many occasions, but I have never, EVER, used a can opener as a knife.

If there is a Vintage Can Openers Forum out there somewhere, they would be rolling their eyes, and marveling at the shocking things “non-can-opener people” do…

That's a good idea, really.

I was cutting up my kids trouts the other day and I thought to myself "self, I don't need a big old fillet knife for this" and I guess I was right.

We need to get someone to crank out some AEBL trout zippers. Little can opener shaped blades perfectly sized for this task.

I have used a knife as a can opener

When I was a kid my dad showed me how to rub a can on a flat rock to open it. While it is the exact opposite of fun, it works and saves a knife blade lol!
