Ok, you've got my curiosity peaked... Why stainless, and how can you tell by looking? I've been using them for years (both sizes), and mine are definitely NOT stainless, but I'm wondering if there's something I should know about now...I asked becasue I couldn't remember ever seeing an ad for them ! I wouldn't buy it unless it said STAINLESS . I, at least can tell if it's stainless by looking since I'm a metallurgist but I wouldn't trust a photo !!
I've had this one for years. Not stainless. No reason for it to be. Same with the openers on many of my scout knives.Ok, you've got my curiosity peaked... I happen to be a metallurgist , soooo .Unless you can suggest another metal. Unobtanium is out cause it's 'unobtainable' !! LOL
Why stainless? The P38 has been perfectly fine and fit for its purpose for decades without being stainless.I happen to be a metallurgist , soooo .Unless you can suggest another metal. Unobtanium is out cause it's 'unobtainable' !! LOL
