I know neither one will do heavy work but for fine or detail work which do you prefer? I saw the P4 at Target the other day and it looked to be more useful than either the Micra or SAK Classic.

I've been using the Squirt P4 for the past several months and have found it to be a very handy and capable tool.Check out my recent post,"Most useful, minimum size knife/tool combo" for more info.

I much prefer the P4 pliers over the SAK pliers. The SAK pliers hurt a little more since the "handles" are so thin. The P4 has a little more meat there for the tougher stuff. I do wish that they both were more like needlenose pliers, though.

I have used the pliers on my Deluxe Tinker for all kinds of tasks. When I have examined the P4 Squirt the pliers didn't seem to be as stout. As you say, though, neither will handle extremely heavy work, but I much prefer the Vic pliers.
