Talk about a great EDC!

Just a beautiful bali by Pabu knives. Large and solid, perfect in construction with as good fit and finish as any channel bali.

Titanium handles, Eggerling forged to shape Damascus blade, Damascus spring latch and pearl inlays.

The carved spring latch is very well done, with the spring assembly inside the latch. Damascus of course :) And I believe it is true that Pabu makes the best pocket clips on the market today (absolutely the best clips I own!)

This is a carved Damascus clip (from a Damascus block), *not* bent, with a brass spacer.

Gotta love a new EDC! :D

BTW if you don't have a bali from Pabu, you're missing the boat!

(I posted this in the bali forum, but I know many don't regularly visit there...)

Unfortunately, B-flys are verbotten here.

That is about as fine an example of cutlery craftsmanship as I have seen in some time.

That is a LOT of quality work. I can see why you'd be so proud. Love that damascus blade with the plain tip.

Also the clip. Once again, the lowly clip can either be neutral or transform a piece. This one does.

Congrats, Mike.

Michael-

What a beauty! But then his knives are always quite wonderful.

I love the pattern of the Eggerling damascus. Works perfect with the blade profile.

Great "get"... :D

Thanks guys, I thought the knife was of interest to the general 'custom' community!

It's always fun to shop for damascus with Bob Eggerling and send a prime piece off to a superb maker :)

STeven, I'm curious why you say balis are not OK here...they are legal in many states (and countries, since we're international :) ), including where I live...custom autos, however, are still restricted...

And if I were to carry a bowie in my coat...hoo boy...

Sorry, Michael, I should have been specific.

HERE means the People's Republik of Kalifornia. Butterfly knives are specifically outlawed, I don't collect autos either.

So there IS a downside to living in S.Cal?!? :D

-Michael

More than a few, if you are a Conservative, Republican, NRA male.

However, if you are a drinking man(which I am), there is a great deal of convenience to being able to buy booze at the supermarket.

2" autos are legal here as well, but too damned tiny. For that matter, I think 2" butterflys are legal, but also too tiny.

Congratulations on your beautiful b-fly!

Best Regards,
