Just rec. this knife in the mail. Holy crap is this thing dangerous. Double edged and a razor sharp. Both top and bottom look to be flat ground. Micarta scales and full tang. Never owned one but always wanted one and now I have one. This was made in Japan in Seki City. No mark as to blade steel used. The sheath is a square affair with ballistic nylon outside and tiple laminate kydex inside. Pretty nicely done for a basic sheath.
The grind lines on the knife are perfect. Not one out of sync with the other. The micarta handle slabs fit perfect with no gaps or over runs. A fella by the name of David Steele desinged this knife. The integral guards could stand to be radiused a bit but I don't think I will touch the knife or anything on it. This is the pentultimate combat knife if you ask me. The knife blade kind of drops ever so slightly in line with the handle so the point is at the center line of the blade. Very natural for me an untrained blade martialist, to thrust and slash with the knife. At least in the air
Now if I was gonna carry this beast around, which I ain't, I would tacky up the micarta and radius the guard. Then I would have a nice leather iwb sheath made for strong side carry.
I don't know when this knife was made but I assume more than a few years ago. Can't belive it is this minty. Box everything appears as new. Well if I could post pics I would but can't. I haven't taken any pics yet but will and put them on my little knife site. I'll let everyone know when I do. I am getting a couple of more f.b.'s this week and will post on photo bucket all at once. keepem sharp
