I believe that it is a personal thing, the reasons why you want a regrind.
For me it is to give a knife a new lease on life in the pocket instead of being relegated to the bottom of the drawer.

We are fortunate that so many have taken the plunge with regards to a regrind, as it gives you perspective as what you want.
That, coupled with a Custom Knife Maker of high caliber and their input, recipe for "AWESOME'NESS", and the knife just "POPS".

To answer your question, "what is it worth?" to me - selfish happiness

The regrind looks very nice. What's something like that worth?

looks amazing, especially with the coating left on the untouched parts of the blade.

personally if I had him go that far I'd have him bring the spine down in a straight line to the tip like a military, or old school endura/delica. but that's just my personal preference for very fine tips.

Oh, Lordee, makes my wonder why they can't just come from Spyderco like that! Well, too labor-intensive, I would imagine.

Looks great ! What is the measurement behind the edge?
I just re ground my south fork to 0.006 behind the edge. I'll post some images later on.

Well, some people don't know how to use a knife with a fine edge and will end up trying to split rocks and expect the company to honor warranty on what's designed to "cut". Also when you grind the primary that far down you have to watch your heat so you don't destroy the heat treat on most steels.

Looks good man, I bet that thing rips through cardboard like a beast. I really should get me an H1 Spyderco, especially if I'm going fishing this summer. It would make a great companion on the water!

hey two toned knives done right look good, i thought the coating was orange at first untill i realize dit was a reflection. that would have been cool

Guy it looks great , I need to contact Gareth some time for a few regrinds . Cheers Niel
