I'm very pleased with the performance of this rust-proof steel. I've used this knife hard, clearing thorns and branches (some up to 1-1/2" in diameter) away from overgrown areas of my hiking trails all year and the steel has performed better than expected. In fact the entire knife has held up extra well for such a lightweight piece.
As you can see there is no chipping at all and it holds a edge very well, touches up in seconds. The entire knife is first rate and easy to deploy, carry and use.

The H1 steel really is great stuff. I don't know how you feel about full SE but my Pacific SE goes through just about anything. I cut a lot of poly straps, heavy plastic and plastic banding. Most of it is dirty, very tough on an edge. The H1 will scratch easily but it also buffs out easily with a dremel. The more you use it, the better it gets:thumbup:.

My favorite part about H1 is how easily it touches up on my Sharpmaker. Great edge retention too. Not on the VG-10/S30V level, more on 154CM/ATS-34.

I agree and mine pops arm hair every time after a quick run on the 1200 rods and a light stropping

I was unsure of how I'd like the E.R. on H1, but I know it's better than 8cr13mov and I LOVE that stuff.. so I should be good

I ordered a yellow PE Pacific Salt from NewGraham which should be arriving any day now. Looking forward to it. I already love the H1 on my PE Salt 1 and SE Tasman Salt.

I'v been quite pleased with the H1 on the salts I have, it is good stuff

My Yellow Pacific Salt PE arrived yesterday, and I love it! This is my first yellow-handled knife, and it seems a bit "odd" with the color, but I wanted something different and that would be visible if I dropped it. This is going to be my main EDC for some time. Since I don't really clip the knife to my pocket anymore, it's thin, light and easy to simply drop into the pocket, and no worries about sweat/condensation(?) causing any rust on the blade.

It's a great, no frills, no nonsense, worry free EDC that works great for light duty carry and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I love mine!

I just ordered one. Can't wait to get it. Any way of finding out what is next in H1? An H1 manix or dyad??

One of the coolest things about my Pacific Salt is it got very gritty with beach sand these past few days, and each time it was simple to put it under a tap and rinse it without worrying about the knife's inner workings. I used to do that with the Delica 3 and Endura 3 knives, but always had to meticulously dry the inner parts of the knife. Not so with the Salts, which are easy and carefree to return to smooth operation.

H1 Dyad the size of the C-44 would really be nice.

I'd like to see an H1 Sage or Caly. I've become very spoiled by the H1, I love the almost worry free steel. I'd love to see a full flat grind knife in H1 and the Caly would awesome!

Well, I just got my Pacific salt yesterday and I have to say that it is a really excellent knife for the price. I like the blade profile, the bright scales, and how light it is. If I were to change anything it would be to have the Atlantic salt handle instead with this Pacific blade profile. The atlantic handle is a shape I'm more comfortable with but this works too. Also, It would be nice to have one offered in a framelock but maybe that will be down the road.
