You know I never hear a lot about CRK fixed blades. I picked up a Pacific and I absolutely love it! Very well thought out and fits my hand perfectly. I have to say I like it better than my Busse.

Nice knife!!

Nice knife!!

CRK makes some the best tactical knives available anywhere. They are built to the same standards as their folding knives, and super sweet to hold. I personally prefer the NR Warrior over the Pacific simply because I don't care for serrations, but they are both awesome knives. Still need to get a Nyala. I've hear great things about that one as well.

I think the huge popularity of his folding knives sometimes makes the fixed blades take a back seat, unfortunately.

I like the Pacific too but find the serations kind of killed it for me. I feel I would have got far more use out of mine if it was not serated and really found they just got in the way. I think the S30V blades are all nice and are well thought out designs, but I just can't say I would choose one over an A2 one piece knife. The Mtnr 2 and Mark VI for eg. have pretty much the same blade shape as the Pacifc, all be it a little smaller. But they have more favorable atributes for a knife IMO, in the form of steel type, totally neutral handle shape, lack of serations and the hollow handle too. Throw in a bit of custom Kydex and you're flying. :D That said there is something about the Pacific, NRW and GB that just makes you want to pick them up.

A knife whose design requirements were specified, then tested, and finally celebrated by U.S. Army Special Forces (specifically, 5th group)? It's an understatement to say that this knife exceeds all expectations I have for such a knife. Even so, my favorite is the NR. I love the recurve, and like DallasSTB, I don't need the serrations. :)

Another vote for the NR, it feels just right in the hand. I don't have a Pacific, as others have said the serrations also put me off.

I have the CRK Pacific. Outstanding knife all-around, one of the sharpest combat/fixed blades I own and the ergonomics and blade feel are world class.
