Pack Knife?

It was a limited edition version of the RC-3 with a black blade and orange G10 scales, with the ESEE logo on the blade instead of the triangle. They were for R.A.T. Pack members (see the stickied thread at the top of the forum page) and featured the member's number lasered on the pommel.

Unfortunately the whole process of deciding on what they would be, who wanted them, who didn't, payment, shipping, etc. etc. turned out to be a MAJOR headache (especially since many folks couldn't understand the very simple rules) and they've decided pretty concretely that they're never going to do another knife like that. IIRC only around 200 were made. :o
 
That's too bad that it turned into such a debacle. I like the idea of being able to land one of a kind ESEE Knives through membership. Those pack knives looked great.
 
they are a great knife just cosmetic differences in logo and scales & screws...but the whole thing turned into a mess and will probably never happen again.
 
I don't know what these guys are talking about. It was a total blast. :)

That project is still to this day haunting us. The Mrs. Just over the weekend ended up buying someones pack knife because they didn't want it anymore.

That's going to be the biggest challenge, keeping them off the open market and in the hands of pack members. It'll be impossible to entirely keep the market clean but these knives were sold under the premise that they would never be available on the open market so I think we have an obligation to at least try to keep it that way.
 
Well, I'll take one if anyone is every forced to sell one I would be happy to purchase it from them. That is of corse once I'm issued my RP ID # (Hint, make it an odd number Hint)

Before you guys get excited, there's already a pretty long list of folks who want one compiled. There are people who just missed the cutoffs who wanted one. It'll be a long time before we work through that list.
 
if yr wanting one, tho it has been requested on this sub-forum to offer to rat pack members first(thru the shotgunners), ya might watch the sale forum. thats where i got the one i have. right place right time.....
