My second packrat just came in and I just love them more and more. Just feels sturdy, fast, so much belly... And all for under $40. I love the high flat grind, the way it jumps open when you caress its flipper, the rough but not cold steel sandpaper g-10. It even has steel liners for the ones who like it. Edc, fun, fast, USA made, super sharp, flat ground............ if you are on the edge get one, you will not regret it.

I'm diggin the design. It has one of the most useful bladeshapes for everyday use.
Looks like your picture was canned.

This is deffinetly on my short list. Haven't looked at specs or anything, but seems to be in the same class as the Skyline. Build, materials, price all seem the same. There is just something about the graceful lines of a swayback pattern that screams use me! Since finding out the Piston is AO, this one moved to the top of my list!

Steel is 14C28N which is pretty amazing stuff and a step up from AUS8.
It's more solid then the skyline thanks to its steel liners. Feels amazing in hand due to its organic/ergonomic shape. Weight is right at 3oz. Hold on tight because this knife comes out with some amazing force due to the speedsafe system.

All for $40? It's one of my favorite all-time Edc blades.

The packrat was a great knife and had a great useable blade profile it's a shame it will be discontinued.

Amen. It's a great value. Lots of people complain about Nutnfancy but I owe him for turning me on to the Packrat.
