I've been working on this for the past few days and am about to send it back to Paden. The "back" of the blade, I antiqued with a light blue-bleach etch. It was all pitted from an unfortunate incident involving an in-law and dishwasher, IIRC. the antiquing process makes the pitting not really noticeable.
Then, on the front of the blade, I etched a design into it. I still have to remove the paint, which I used as the resist layer.
Thanks for entrusting your blade to me! It's been fun to have more 1095 to play around with.
