Padouk user on steroids

Allround user with padouk, copper ferrule and a blade made from 1.2419.05(130WCrV5)
This cold work tool steel is a special alloy coming from my old friend and colleague Achim Wirtz(wootz@web.de.)
He described it as the 07 on steroids.That description fits just perfect....
Tang is riveted on he butt and the sheath is waterbuffalo leather and copper for the fittings.

Nicely done. The hardware on the sheath looks cool but what is it for? Is that the belt loop?

The sheath hardware looks too narrow for a belt. I'd guess a cord dangler on a carabiner, or something similar.

When tucked behind the belt, the longhole is just an option to tie it to the belt that it can not slide under away.
...or tied to the back pack.

The 1.2419.05 is a low alloy cold work tungsteen tool steel and heat treated just lke O7.
820 DegreesC quenched in oil and tempered with 200 DegreesC.
