Hey guys, there has been more activity lately of young NooB members joining the forum and then responding to ancient threads asking idiot questions as if the last post was yesterday instead of 2005. So I think we should have a page they have to view and sign off on before the get to enter the forum (when they sign up) that very clearly states in large lettering NOT TO POST TO LONG DEAD THREADS UNLESS ONE CAN REASONABLY ASSUME IT IS STILL RELEVANT FOR SOME REASON. AND, TO ALWAYS CHECK THE DATE ON THREADS YOU RESPOND TO IF YOU ARE DIGGING THEM UP VIA SEARCH OR GOOGLE. I AGREE NOT TO DIG UP OLD THREADS NO ONE HAS RESPONDED TO IN YEARS UNLESS THERE IS A CLEAR OVERARCHING REASON TO DO SO. I ESPECIALLY AGREE NOT TO ASK IF A KNIFE IS STILL AVAILABLE THAT WAS LAST BEING OFFERED OVER A YEAR AGO! Something like that to mitigate that behavior. I think Noob's just don't think when they post to old threads, and they don't check the dates either. They may be using Google to pull them up, as I think Search may still be disabled for regular members.

good idea . i seen the thread and the same person even bumped an old thread asking if a knife from years back was still available  :D

Just another reason why people should lock their threads after knives are sold. Anyhow, thread necromancy is always a problem on larger boards
