For work reasons, I have to get a pager or cell phone. I want something really SMALL. Has anyone any experience with pager watches. Timex has a few-with an atomic clock like feature-but they are sold with no warranty-which causes me some concern. Thanks for any input.

You might want to check-out the Casio line of watches. They might have a pager-watch out by now, and as we ALL know, Casio watches are alot better than Timex watches.

I used to use a Timex/Motorola beepwarePRO. Not a bad concept which worked well if the service (at extra cost) was available in your area. It required a PC to download info into your watch. The download was the coolest feature: the PC would flash some sort of bar code on the screen and you would hold your watch against the screen where its (the watch's) sensor would read the coded information.

You can receive phone pages, e-mail, as well as updates on news, sports, etc. Battery life was not long-lived.

I stopped using the gadget because the cost of the enhanced pager service was almost as much as the service cost of a cellular phone. IMO, the cellular phone is more practical and versatile.
