Paid subscription without PayPal?

Is there a way to renew my Gold membership without PayPal? In other words, another form of payment. I can't seem to figure it out. PayPal is not working for me since they are requiring forensic evidence and DNA swabs to confirm identity.

Use the same PayPal link for member subscription, but don’t sign in, then check out as a guest using a Credit Card.

It’s then just like buying something online, you get the receipt and everything, but you are not a member and didn’t sign up for an account, just a 1 time purchase.

Used to be that Spark had to manually enter your payment, so it wasn’t an instant upgrade as usually when signed in. Not sure if that’s still going on or not.

I just tested that and I no longer see an option to check out as a guest. The options it gave me were: log in OR create account. There used to be an option to check out as a guest, but I did not see that option today.

Has something changed with PayPal that they no longer accept a credit card without having a PayPal account?
 
No idea, at this point since I closed my store I don't even have a virtual terminal any more to do CCs over the phone.

If you are using a PC and don't see it, try it on a tablet or smartphone. I remember running into this when checking out on ebay without an account there or on paypal. Cant recall if the PC was the one that showed a guest option or if it was the other way around?

Used to see it on a PC. I only use BF on PC. Don't have a tablet. Phone is used for mapping, texting, and calling.

It's appears that PayPal is the payment vendor. I too am a laptop user and use my phone/PC setup similar to knarfeng. I see no way to pay even as a guest without using my email address that has been associated with a PayPal account that I have had for well over 20 years- but now all of a sudden PayPal wants invasive compliance to new fangled terms and conditions, including overkill identity verification I am not comfortable with. Rant over.

I don't want this to turn into another efff Paypal thread. I will figure something out, I've been a Gold Member since I've joined and want to keep it that way.

I appreciate everyones input and appreciate the forum.

Many years ago I had a problem obtaining my memnbership. When PP sees an email linked to an account, it wants you to log in and use that account. In my case PP didn't like my computer and would not let me log on. A member helped me then, and I gladly pay it forward.

Yeah. That's what I used to see, but I do not currently see the option to check out as guest on my machine (PC-Linux). But it might be my VPN. I link to a server in Switzerland. That might be confusing the PayPal link. I'll have to check that out later today.

The holdays are a busy time and he may have to do this manually, but it will get sorted out. I don't think I can do anything that you haven't already done(tag Spark Spark ), but I am here if anything is needed on my end.
