Paid too much...and no regrets

As most of you know, I'm sort of concentrating on my favorite Schrades, the Old Timers. From the "list" I now have 43 models of Old Timers, and have 23 left to find...somewhere.

No rush...and if I get triples of some models, I have one for each of my boys someday.

Anyway, I ponied up $75 (including shipping) for a 225OT with sheath tonight on ebay. That's the most I've ever paid for a knife. Item number: 6639172573

Now I know some of you have paid much much more for your knives, and that's cool. But for $75 clams, it's a beauty and I have no regrets.

With 23 (or more) Old Timers left, it's going to start getting expensive. IT'S SCHRADITIS!

HELLO Just checked that knife out, SWEEEEET!
The locking saw blade unique feature.
Congratulations.

If you really wanted the knife, and you are happy with it, you did not pay too much. They were only made for three years, and Clemente valued it at $80-$130 in his 2003 book, so the price you gave for it is not bad, even pre-closing. Heck, with a last MSRP in 1992 of $59.95, it would sell for more than what you paid now if Schrade were still producing them! Congrats on another good score! You do need to get the predecessor 225 and 225H models though! True Schradophilia!

The further I get ahead, the farther I fall behind! ROFLMAO!
